No brag, just fact

That's how we say it in Alabama. At least that's how I said it.

I found this out a little while ago but I wasn't supposed to say anything about it, for some reason. Maybe in case they changed their minds. And the cat may still be in the bag, in which case I am herewith letting it out and setting it free.

The news is that Mr. Sebastian and the Negro Magician has been chosen as the #1 Booksense pick for the month of July. For those of you who don't know, Booksense works with many, if not most (all?) of the independent booksellers in the country, and every month they (some, a few, a couple of them in a smoky backroom?) get together and pick some of the books they like and, well, they liked mine enough to put it first on their list. Which is amazing. I've never been #1 at anything before. Thank you to all the booksellers who had a part in making MSATNM #1.

Check out my tour schedule. I'll see you soon.

Thats awesome that they picked your book as number one. My name is David Speegle and supposedly I am your cousin(a few times removed). My father is Dan Speegle son of Spencer and Charlotte Speegle. Anyways I am at school in Auburn now majoring in international business. I am also in the process of writing a book. It is a social commentary/mockery based on a group of people who live in the air via a series of wires that suspend this entire communtiy. Anyways, I would like to send it to you when I am finished to maybe get a few pointers. My email address is david.speegle@gmail.com I would really like to hear from you if you get a chance.
